Windows XP and 7 obviously have games, but the Zone games that require internet do not work anymore because the servers were shut down in 2019 and 2020.

This guide explains how to reset the games to use my own servers.

Please note that this guide's steps may not always work, as I do not always have my servers on!

1. In notepad, open C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts, hosts is NOT a file with an extension so if you do not see it listed in notepad's open menu, change the selection from Text file (*.txt) to All files.

2. When you open it in notepad, scroll to the bottom and add this to the bottom:

checkers.freegames.zone.com 47.198.70.139
<br>
hearts.freegames.zone.com 47.198.70.139
<br>
spades.freegames.zone.com 47.198.70.139
<br>

3. Open one of the internet games, and it should connect to my server and let you play with someone else!
